Position Objective:

Serve as a project manager and team lead within the Strategic Planning & Decision Support team. Leads a portion of the team’s portfolio of services, which may include annual processes, such as budget development, development and tracking of Annual Operating Plan(s), and large-scale projects and ad hoc analysis, such as regulatory planning and response, market share evaluation, and advising leaders on strategic programmatic development.

Essential Job Duties:

Provides direct support to the Service Line leaders in all aspects of monitoring and implementing the strategic business plans as well as monitoring their current business through the production of monthly reports and ad hoc requests. Provides financial, volume, and market data to assist leaders in optimizing business, clinical, and quality performance. May oversee analysts in this capacity, as well.

Supports the Strategic Planning process and may be responsible for leading Strategic Planning for corporate entities, programs, or service lines.

Develops executive presentations and reports, including evaluation and presentation of data as well as recommendations, as needed. Possesses the ability to summarize data in a sophisticated report with graphs and charts.

Assists Executive Management and Clinical Initiative Leaders by preparing analyses and reports for special projects on an as needed basis.

Responsible for obtaining and analyzing market share data and reporting to administration on a regular basis.

Abstracts and manipulates data internal and external databases, as needed, including providing benchmarking comparisons, incidence/prevalence rates, market share trends and opportunities, competitor information, and other data for all aspects of business development.

Utilizes clinical and financial data from the internal data warehouse to produce clinical, financial, or statistical reports for all aspects of management.

Manages, mentors, and trains staff to achieve departmental goals.

Assists with essential HR functions, like recruiting new hires.

Assists with departmental management, including purchasing, budget tracking, and compliance.

Required Minimum Experience:

Five years’ experience performing related duties in a health care or finance field and one year experience performing supervisory or project management duties.

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in healthcare, business, or data analytics is desired.

NOTE: Additional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
