The Respiratory department at Anne Arundel Medical Center hires Registered Respiratory Therapists and Certified Respiratory Therapists, who want to work as part of a large, diverse and self-scheduling team. We are an evidence-based practice, where Therapists work independently with physicians. You can have opportunities to participate in bronchoscopy assisting, as well as learn about advanced modes of ventilation (including APRV).
The Anne Arundel Medical Center Respiratory team maintains an “awake, aware and ambulating” care philosophy regarding ventilator patients. Our department also supports a busy Level III NICU. Previous NICU experience is preferred, but we will train qualified therapists in this subspecialty. We also provide training opportunities for individuals who wish to advance as Pulmonary Specialists. Specialized clinical education focused on point-of-care safety is available, along with annual education days for additional study or conference attendance.
One of the most unique features here is that the Respiratory department offers bedside caregiver grants. These are entry-level research opportunities for Respiratory Therapists to translate real-world experience into the patient care practice. It’s just another way that you can grow your career and make a difference at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
